It’s the 1st June and Winter is here, but that’s no reason to stay inside. With so many great events going on in and around Sydney and less tourists this time of year, June really is one of the best months to be exploring our wonderful city. This months activates all take you out of Manly Beach, across Sydney Harbour in to the city. But don’t worry, the best part about leaving Manly is often coming home.

Vivid: 1st June – 16th June
Vivid is the worlds largest festival of lights, music and ideas spread out around Sydney, there is so much to do and most of it is FREE. Whether  you wonder around the instillation at Circular Quay or admire the iconic Sydney Opera House, but as you’ve never seen it before. You can even enjoy this fabulous festival by boat and check out all the lights on Sydney Harbour. For more information go to the events website here.

Blak Box: 2nd June – 24th June
A large white box has appeared at Barangaroo Reserve this June. It is there to share the stories of the Indigenous people who’ve lived in the area for tens of thousands of years. if you want to know more about Australia’s past then you are in luck, and it’s totally Free. Find out more here.

Sydney Film Festival: 6th June – 17th June
The Sydney Film Festival is back for it’s 65th year and with over 250 films that you wont find at any old cinema. Spread out across the Sydney and showing movies of all kinds you will not just be entertained but you might just learn something too. For more information and the schedule click here.
